My meandering career path means I like to dabble in everything from Italian pastries to the ultimate chocolate chip cookie to fancy 6 layer candy bars. Brunch is my favorite meal to cook and tacos are my spirit animal.
I have a fur-child named Chloe, a super adorable corgi mutt. I’m a Ravenclaw who still cries for Hedwig, a Star Wars fan for life, and a Disney Annual Passholder. Merida and Vanellope are the best princesses, and Wall-e and Eve win the Best Couple’s Award. Besides food and geekery, I like to take really long walks in pretty places, go to the movies and read the occasional book.
As for the name Max Flour, it’s twofold. Firstly, as a baker, I believe in the power of flour. It’s like the Force, it most definitely surrounds, penetrates and binds to the max. Secondly, I had a dear old man dog named Max that passed away in 2018. One of our favorite memories of him is the time I came home to an apartment covered in flour. Absentmindedly, I left a bag of flour at his level, which he promptly opened and spread everywhere. Oh. My. Goodness. It was a mess. It spawned this great backstory of Max in his stray dog days hunting behind bakeries for leftovers, our pastry connoisseur.
